This was the 7th annual exhibition and commemorated the Bicentenary of the Abolition of the Slave Trade featuring works by artists from Barbados and other parts of the Caribbean exploring the results of the experience of Slavery. The majority of the work exhibited is owned by the Government of Barbados; the exhibition included works from private collections. The exhibition was hosted by the National Art Gallery Committee, in collaboration with the National Cultural Foundation and the UWI Errol Barrow Centre for Creative Imagination.
