Statement

Between 1990 and 2002, I was unable to paint effectively because of extreme pains in my shoulder while painting, drawing and even writing. This caused me to cut the number of paintings I wanted to produce for my exhibition entitled Message at the Tom Adams Financial Building in 1990. My graphic studio, Martin Creative Art Studio, was closed shortly after that, and although I had three more one-man shows, the additions were below my standard, and I stopped doing art in 1997. During this long pause, certain of the details of my art life slipped me—including the whereabouts of some of my work—but I am very happy to be back.
