Statement

It is a pleasure to be part of this process in the development of the visual arts of Barbados. As a senior person, and being given this opportunity with fellow Barbadian artists, I just feel honoured. The Caribbean Single Market and Economy will result in a wider Caribbean. It will give us the opportunity to meet with other artists in the region. We have come a long way: many years ago, parents never encouraged their children to do Art. It appeared then as nothing to call employment. We have come a long way. There are many branches to choose from. We owe much thanks to those early educators.
